Say hello to Jim. He is the service technician who put two new tires on our travel trailer this morning at Moore Tire in Kewanee, Illinois.  I'm grateful for Jim. After eating a delicious lunch prepared by Jeri, I rode a section of the Hennepin Canal Parkway from the campground under Interstate Highway 80 to the Hennepin Canal Visitor Center and back.  I'm thankful for Jeri. The State of Illinois has converted the historic canal's towpaths into a paved bicycle and hiking trail.  I appreciate those who maintain it.

We didn't see Mike, Frank, or Danielle, but we did tour the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum nearby.

This delightful family business is located on the banks of the historic Hennepin Canal near Sheffield, Illinois.  It's a sunny, God-given day, and we are grateful. 

In Illinois we are seeing a lot of - Corn - Soybeans  - Windmills 

Jeri and I went to two local festivals today: the Pierceton, Indiana, Heirloom Tomato Festival and Canal Days at Winona Lake, Indiana. A good time was had by all!

Jeri and I talked with a local woman about the private beach here on Lake Erie. She and her husband live nearby. They have considered moving from their waterfront property due to weather related damage during the stormy seasons. Apparently upkeep on the house and land is a sustainability concern for her.  Where does anyone find sustenance? "I will lift my eyes unto the hills..."

We are camping in Western New York on the shore of Lake Erie.

We arrive at one objective of our pilgrimage.  The American Falls at Niagara Falls, New York,  USA.
